Steps to earn the OSAP-DANB Dental Industry Specialist in Infection Prevention and Control™ (DISIPC™) certification:

EDUCATION

Successfully complete both of these two education requirements:

OR

  • Hold an OSAP-DALE Foundation-accepted Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) – or American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-accredited assessment-based certificate program certificate in dental infection prevention and control (OSAP-DALE Foundation acceptance criteria include documentation supporting certificate program contents alignment with the Infection Control Consortium’s Master Curriculum Elements [July 2016]) AND

EXPERIENCE

Complete a minimum of 1 continuous year of work experience in the oral or medical healthcare professions or working for a manufacturer or distributor of dental infection prevention and control products AND

EVALUATION

Pass the DISIPC exam and earn DISIPC certification (in-person at a Pearson VUE testing center)
